It’s odd when you realize that the girlfriend is third-wheeling her boyfriend and their mutual friend. She’s slightly bothered by how close Him and I are, but she doesn’t say anything. She keeps it bottled up like always. Him and I laugh and hang out together 24/7 while in school. He jokes that we are besties, I laugh it off and realize it’s probably right. No one has ever made me feel the way I do with him. He’s fun and kind and our personalities are so compatible. When people say opposites attract, I think they’re somewhat right. What they don’t tell us, is what happens when opposites don’t attract anymore…
I met His parents. They’re divorced. He has an older brother and a younger brother. Both full siblings. His older brother is a year older than us and he’s crazy. Kind of lives in the shadow of Him. His family instantly loves me and I instantly love them. He’s never met my family. My family is a bit odd and they are obsessed with finding boys for me. If they met Him they’d be all over him. I don’t want that. I don’t want him to leave once he sees how weird my family is. We’ve gotten so close. He’s amazing. We have this connection. We can almost feel when the other is upset even when we haven’t seen each other in a while. We know how to cheer the other one up. Sometimes we sit there in complete silence, totally okay without talking to each other.
